One of the objectives of Prof. Deb Kumar Banerjee Memorial Foundation is advancement of learning. To achieve this objective, the Prof. Deb Kumar Banerjee Memorial Lectures have been organized annually since 2019 at sessions of the All-India Sociological Conference. The venue selected for these lectures is RC 15 of the Indian Sociological Society. Initially, eminent former students of Prof. Deb Kumar Banerjee were requested to deliver the lectures. The first lecture was delivered by Prof. Gayatri Bhattacharya, a student of the first batch, at 45th All India Sociological Conference at Thiroovananthapooram Kerala in 2019. Another eminent former student, Prof. Sudeshna Basu Mukherjee, delivered the second lecture online at the 46th All India Sociological Conference, Mumbai. Prof. Indira Ramarao, past President, Indian Sociological Society, delivered the third lecture at the 47th All India Sociological Conference held at Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya, in 2022.
