The SQC and Or Division of the Indian statistical Institute has pioneered the applications of Statistically designed experiments in Indian Industries. The Division has to its credit, by now, a large number of successful applications. these applications were carried out in a wide variety of industries- Engineering, textiles, chemicals, drugs, foundries, process industries etc. The case reports in this book are based on the actual studies carried out in the organization serviced by the Division.
