This books is based on the outreach project "Museum on the Wheels; when you can not come to the museum, museum comes to you" created by the author. Here it is focused her endeavour to motivate women and children to step into multidisciplinary science and conservation of the natural resources.
Fossils hold immense value for palaeobiologists and researchers in STEMM fields, but their preservation is hindered by anthropogenic pressures in large countries like India. India's rich collection of Laurasian and Gondwanan fossils makes it an essential location for research. The aim of the book is to remove myths about fossils in rural India, education of children about geological processes, fossil abundance and the importance of protecting fossils. The initiative, being led by a woman field scientist Dr. Sanjukta Chakravorti, now organizes regular online sessions in regional languages to educate children and the next generation about conservation and natural heritage. The book depicts information regarding the palaeobiology of different rime scales from late Permian period to Cretaceous period including flora, fauna, wood fossils, invertebrates to vertebrates.
